Battery Powered

This mod is a re-implementation of Industrial Revolution's idea to use batteries as fuel. The mod comes with several tiers of batteries that provide equivalents for existing fuel types:

• vanilla batteries = coal
• high-capacity batteries = solid fuel (or lithium-sulfur batteries with Krastorio 2)
• holmium batteries = rocket fuel (with Space Age and Space Exploration)
• naquium batteries ~ nuclear fuel (with Space Exploration)

When charging batteries in the battery charger there is a small chance (2% or less) the battery has degraded and is destroyed in the process, so using batteries has some maintenance cost besides the actual charging process. Higher tier batteries degrade progressively less. This can be disabled with a setting.

There is also a battery-powered generator that turns a battery's charge back into electricity. This means batteries can be used to transport energy and store it in chests.

This mod does not add additional electrified locomotives. Instead the vanilla locomotive is modified to allow batteries as fuel. The car and the tank are also modified in the same way. See the mod list below for other supported vehicles.
