Industrial Revolution 3: Special Projects (ALPHA)

This was an experimental add-on for IR3 which will not be developed further.

This opt-in addition to IR3 converts several milestone technologies into special projects.

Special projects are researched in dedicated project labs, which do not use the usual material analysis packs and require the temporary production of specialised project packs instead. Some (but not all) project packs use material analysis packs as ingredients.

Most projects are single technologies, but some occur in short chains. For example, the high pressure project only consists of cubic press tech; the petrochemicals project encompasses the six main oil processing techs.

Once a specific project is complete, the project pack is never needed again, so you will have to devise a way of avoiding overproduction. The pack tooltips state the total number required to complete the project.
