This mod adds two researchable new lamps to the game. These lamps consume more electricity and cost more resources, but illuminate larger areas than the basic lamp.

Small Lamp (unmodded)- 1 circuit, 1 iron plate, 3 iron rods, 5KW Medium Power Lamp - 5 small lamps, 1 circuit, 15KW High Power Lamp - 3 medium lamps, 3 circuits, 50KW

This is my first mod! There are several other options for lighting mods, but I didn't want to totally destroy the problem (with something like Afraid of the Dark) and I wanted something that fit in the game's aesthetic, but still looked slightly different. These lamps also have a larger glow radius when sent a color signal.

Known issue: The game does not render lights that are a certain distance away from the player's viewpoint. This means that high power lamps won't light an area if they aren't visible, resulting in them "popping" in. Unfortunately, I believe this is a vanilla limitation.
