You see a metallic asteroid fragment float by your platform, just barely in your range of vision. Slowly but surely the Moray asteroid collector extends his arm and collects the fragment with a familiar metallic clicking sound.

In front of your space vessel, a railgun shot shatters two asteroids into a dozen pieces. In the blink of an eye, the octopus asteroid collector extends eight arms at once, clearing the debris.

Introduces two new asteroid collectors into the game: The Moray and the Octopus. Both are unlocked with the vanilla asteroid collector and are balanced around vanilla gameplay. They situationally outperform the regular collector without replacing or invalidating it.

Moray asteroid collector

Perfect for static or slow moving platforms, the Moray has an extended range and a larger claw but is much slower than its counterparts. Higher quality moray asteroid collectors have a larger range, bigger claw inventory and higher speed. Very energy efficient.

Octopus asteroid collector

---

Optimised for ship fronts and true comet storms, the Octopus has a reduced range but features eight strong arms that move at a breakneck speed. Higher quality octopus asteroid collectors have an increased range and speed.

Graphics

Switch between different colour patterns at will! Currently features default, striped and rainbow patterns for both collectors. Rainbow patterns from Rainbow Asteroid Collectors.

Mod compat

---

Copies the surface conditions of the base entity asteroid grabber to maximise compatibility.

Adjusts itself to the altered space progression with Muluna installed.
