About TowerElevator
From HangarStack blocks into an elevator: jump to ride up, sneak to ride down, double inputs for top and bottom.
TowerElevator
Stack the same block in a vertical line and you have an elevator. No redstone, no commands, no region setup. Stand on a pad and jump.
Controls
| Input | Result | | --- | --- | | Jump | One floor up | | Sneak | One floor down | | Sneak, then jump | Straight to the top floor | | Sneak twice quickly | Straight to the bottom floor | | Right-click a pad with an empty hand | Floor picker menu |
Building a shaft
Place the same block (iron, gold or diamond by default) above each other with air in between. Gaps of up to 24 blocks are allowed, so every pad can be the floor of a room instead of a rung on a ladder.
Put a sign against a pad and its first line becomes that floor's name. The name shows up in the action bar on arrival and in the floor picker, so a tower reads like a real elevator panel: Lobby, Shops, Farms, Roof.
Safety
A floor with a ceiling directly above it is skipped, so nobody ends up inside a wall. Rides downwards do not cause fall damage. A cooldown keeps a held jump key from firing through five floors at once, and the two express rides are exempt from it so a quick double input always lands.
Commands
| Command | Permission | | --- | --- | | /towerelevator info | towerelevator.command | | /towerelevator reload | towerelevator.reload | | Riding elevators | towerelevator.use, granted to everyone by default |
Aliases are /elevator and /te.
Configuration
config.yml covers the pad materials, whether one shaft has to use a single material, the maximum gap and floor count, each of the five controls, the double-sneak window, the cooldown, the unsafe-floor policy, fall damage, sign reading, sounds, particles, a world black- or whitelist, the picker's items and every message. Messages use MiniMessage, and an empty message is never sent, so any line can be turned off.
