Description

This mod adds a simple stone mortar for grinding stuff by hand. It's extremely simplistic and uses vanilla mechanics. No custom models, no DLLs, just a few little tweaks.

I tried REALLY hard to make it so that if you used a stick or a rock it would take away durability from it if you used it but it just won't go. Idk why. I tested it all over the place.

I also tried hard to make it so that the granite bowl actually acts like a bowl or cookpot but GOD DAMN i cannot figure it out for the life of me. I really wanted to render fat in it but fuck if i know how to make this work. I don't understand the rules that govern the code they use. One rule works in one place but doesn't in another. Makes no sense to me, but I'm not going to let it ruin my day.

---

INSTRUCTIONS
Use your crafting inventory. Place a granite or andesite stone in the top third, what you want to crush in the middle, and the mortar on the botom. More expensive than the quern.

FEATURES
- Adds a craftable mortar object called a "mortar bowl" as well as grinding recipes
- Use a stone to crush items in the mortar through the recipe grid. Some items like flint are too hard and will consume the stone as well.
- Sticks can be used to crush some items, but they are destroyed in the process.
- Firewood can also be used to crush some softer items - sometimes it costs the log itself if the thing you're crushing is tough enough, but it's better than using a stick.

PLANNING

At some point I'll need to do some balancing to make sure its not too overpowered. Durability would have done this nicely.

Might try to make an actual, simple pestle object to go with this at some point, and maybe that would fix my durability problem. Not sure though.

---

VERSION 2.0.0
- Mortar is now much more durable
- Mortar is now ground-storable
- Stones used as pestlers can now be used many times without being consumed on most items.
- Firewood can also be used to crush some softer items - sometimes it costs the log itself if the thing you're crushing is tough enough.

PATCH 1.2.4
- Fixed syntax error that may have accidentally blocked certain properties in stone.

PATCH 1.2.3
- verified compatibility with 1.21.6

PATCH 1.2.2
- Adjusted blue clay recipe. Wasn't behaving correctly.
- Fixed marble stones not being able to be crushed into lime

PATCH 1.2.1
- Corrected an error that caused a crash when trying to view certain handbook recipes

UPDATE 1.2.0
- shale can now be crushed into blue clay using the mortar or the quern
- claystone can now be crushed into red clay using the mortar or the quern.
- basalt and slate can no longer be used to get clay (too unrealistic)

UPDATE 1.1.0
- Added cassava/bush potato flour recipe

VERSION 1.0.0
- Tested and Released

VERSION 0.0.1
- changed "mortar" to "pestler" since it conflicts with the cement type of mortar.
- fixed logical errors in pestler
- game pestler object "mortar bowl" nickname in language file.

VERSION 0.0.0 (Untested)
- Added stone mortar based on clay bowl
- Added mortar bowl recipe (10 stones over 1 stone or a chisel and 1 stone)
- Added recipes for grain to flour, flint to powdered flint, halite to salt, limestone/chalk/marble to lime, bone to bonemeal, charcoal to powdered charcoal, hematite to rust, and shale/basalt/claystone stones to clay
