Seraph's Stone Pickaxes
Early game stone pickaxes made from knapping, can only mine stone.

Description
<p>This is the more serious version of my other mod <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/stevesstonepickaxes" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong><span style="color: #2880b9;">Steve's Stone Pickaxes</span></strong></a>!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>The mod adds stone pickaxes to the early game. They can be crafted much like vanilla stone tools, by knapping harder variants of stones and attaching a handle, either stick or bone.</strong></p> <p>Vanilla variants: andesite, basalt, chert, granite, peridotite, obsidian, and flint.</p> <p><img src="https://images2.imgbox.com/40/74/WPN5Q3M3_o.jpg" alt="" width="720" height="406" /></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Supports <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/geologyaddons" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #2880b9;">Geology Additions</span></a> and <span style="color: #2880b9;"><a style="color: #2880b9;" href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/materialneedsgeology" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Material Needs: Geology</a></span>!</strong></p> <p>Allowed variants: diorite, gabbro, and quartzite* from GA, komalite, monzonite, pyroxenite, serpentinite, and syenite from MNG.</p> <p> </p> <p><img src="https://images2.imgbox.com/d0/90/fF31PWmE_o.jpg" alt="" width="720" height="405" /></p> <p> </p> <p>Create the pickaxe head through knapping:</p> <p><img src="https://images2.imgbox.com/04/de/M9jRAUN8_o.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="480" /></p> <p> </p> <p>These pickaxes are not meant to replace metal ones, as they can only mine stone. You still need a real metal pickaxe to gather ores!</p> <p>Similar to vanilla, using bone as the handle will result in the pickaxe having slightly higher durability.</p> <p><em>Unlike</em> vanilla, pickaxes made from sharp but brittle materials such as flint, obsidian, and quartzite (GA) will mine faster but have lower durability.</p> <div class="spoiler"> <div class="spoiler-toggle">Tool durability</div> <div class="spoiler-text"> <p>regular stone, bone handle: 50</p> <p>regular stone, wood handle: 40</p> <p>brittle stone, bone handle: 40</p> <p>brittle stone, wood handle: 30</p> </div> </div> <p> </p> <p><strong>Mod compatibility:</strong></p> <p>- Fully supports <strong><a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/geologyaddons" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #2880b9;">Geology Additions</span></a></strong> and <strong><span style="color: #2880b9;"><a style="color: #2880b9;" href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/materialneedsgeology" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Material Needs: Geology</a></span></strong></p> <p>- Fully supports <strong><a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/immersivemining" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #2880b9;">Salty & Toast's Immersive: Mining</span></a></strong></p> <p>- Supports <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/toolsmith" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #2880b9;"><strong>Toolsmith</strong></span></a></p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><em>Known minor bug</em>: if you also have GA and/or MNG installed, when attaching handles to those variants of the stone pickaxe head (diorite, gabbro, syenite, etc.), the resulting item (the intermediate tool before you attach the binding) will have a bugged texture. But it will look normal once you attach the binding. This does not affect the vanilla variants.</p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">- Compatible with <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/stevesstonepickaxes" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong><span style="color: #2880b9;">Steve's Stone Pickaxes</span></strong></a></span></p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><span style="color: #000000;">I don't know why you would ever want to do that, but yes, they are compatible 😂</span></p>
