Warm Booze

<h3>Alchool doesn't have alot of uses in vanilla!</h3> <p>This mod makes alchool a bit more usefull, by warming the player up the more intoxicated they are! <br />It can even protect you from hypothermia! <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">(not medically approved)</span></p> <p>Fun for the whole family!</p> <p>For even more fun I recommend using the mod <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/slowtox" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SlowTox</a>!</p> <p><strong>Disclamer:</strong> This mod is not realistic and it isn't meant to be. In real life alchool lowers your body temperature and could kill you faster when in low temperature environments!</p> <h3>How does it work?</h3> <p>Simple:</p> <ol> <li>Make alchool;</li> <li>Put it in a carryable container;</li> <li>Drink said alchool;</li> <li>Profit! Oh, and no more cold, of course.</li> </ol> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Distilled alchools are much better at warming you up.</p> <h3>Technical Details</h3> <p>In vanilla, fermented alchools (wines, ales and mead) give 0.15 intoxication. <br />Distilled alchool (brandy, whiskey, distilled mead and aqua vitae) gives 1.10 intoxication, the max possible in vanilla (afaik).</p> <p>The mod gives warmth to the player the more intoxication they have and it acts as if they were close to a heat source.<br />It only runs on the server, so no need for the clients to have the mod.</p> <p>With the default configurations, drinking distilled alchool can warm the player up in a -15&ordm;C environment and no clothes in a minute or so<br />The colder the slower it is, and it slowly goes away as the intoxication fades out</p> <h3>Configuration</h3> <p>The server running the mod has a config file where you can configure two parameters for the mod:</p> <ul> <li><strong>WarmthPerIntoxication:</strong> The warmth value to multiply with the intoxication. (Default: 5)</li> <li><strong>MaxWarmthFromIntoxication:</strong> The max total warmth the player can get from intoxication (Default: 5)</li> </ul> <h3>Mod Compatibility</h3> <p>I tested this mod with <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/slowtox" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SlowTox</a> and <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/realgrapes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">RealGrapes</a> and is most likelly compatible with most other mods.</p> <p>If you find some mod that it isn't compatible with this one, do say and I'll update this section!</p> <h3>Bugs and Problems</h3> <p>If you find any bugs or problems, just submit an issue on github with the problem description and how to replicate said problem.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
