Ancient Tools: Mortar and Pestle

Welcome back to where it all began. Ancient Tools, and the classic mortar and pestle. Together, these two time-tested tools are a natural predecessor to the quern and can be used in-world to grind down all manner of different things! No automation required. Just a little bit of elbow grease.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Now that Ancient Tools is being split into a series of mods, it will be much easier to address specific compatibility requests and issues. Within the spoiler below I will list which mods I have implemented compatibility for, and for which version I have targetted. I do plan to add&nbsp;<em>lots</em> more compatibility. Feel free to make requests! However, I will <em>only</em> add compatibility for mods that are updated to the current version of Vintage Story.</p> <div class="spoiler"> <div class="spoiler-toggle">Mod Compatibility</div> <div class="spoiler-text"> <p>- Material Needs: Geology 2.0.0 - [Additional Mortar and Pestle variants. Dolomite can be ground in the mortar.]</p> </div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>With all mods there are bound to be issues that arise. In the following spoiler I will list all the issues that I am aware of. Please check this list before commenting about an issue. Thanks!</p> <div class="spoiler"> <div class="spoiler-toggle">Known Issues</div> <div class="spoiler-text">- Game crashes when placing pestles into ground storage. This is a <em>vanilla</em> crash that also affects helve hammer heads. I hope this issue will be solved by the Vintage Story team before VS 1.22 releases into stable.</div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This mod is part of the Ancient Tools series of mods. I've compiled a list of the entire series in the spoiler below.</p> <div class="spoiler"> <div class="spoiler-toggle">Ancient Tools Series</div> <div class="spoiler-text"> <p><a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/ancientlib" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AncientLib</a>: A library mod that will play host to various shared resources between the many Ancient Tools mods.</p> <p><a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/resinharvest" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Resin Harvest</a>: A reasonably balanced and immersive solution for players that want to harvest resin closer to home.</p> </div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Important Note:&nbsp;</strong>If you are upgrading from a previous version of Ancient Tools, no need to worry! Your existing mortar and pestle blocks and items should automatically be remapped when installing this mod. It may be wise to wait for other tools to get their own independant mods, though, unless the mortar and pestle was all you cared about.&nbsp;</p>
