Introducing BotaniaStory - a fan-made recreation and adaptation of one of the most beloved and unique tech mods dedicated to nature magic.
The core concept of the mod revolves around creating magical flowers and complex automated devices powered by the force of the earth in the form of mystical energy - Mana. The mod fits perfectly into the harsh world of Vintage Story, offering a completely new layer of gameplay and progression
Behold what is perhaps the hardest Vintage Story server yet.
If you're tired of survival that's basically "baby mode," then welcome. A real challenge awaits you:
- Your journey begins in the Far North.
- No map - only a sextant and a compass... if you can find one.
- You start with only 5 HP.
- Monsters are smarter and deadlier. Shivers run faster and can climb walls.
- Boarthorns no longer retreat during combat, and their attacks hit much harder.
But the server isn't just about suffering. It's packed with carefully selected mods that I chose with great care. And if there's a mod you'd love to see, let me know—I might add it.
Most importantly, there's a goal beyond simply surviving. You can travel south, where daytime temperatures average around 15°C (59°F). That's where you'll find all the story locations and the rest of the game's content.
No starter resources, no spawn, just you, your clothes, and the freezing cold! Prepare to suffer! Sounds awesome, doesn't it?

✨ What Is Already Included in Alpha
This is an early version, but a full and functional starting progression of the mod is already available:
🌸 The Beginning of the Journey
- Find wild Mystical Flowers (If you install this mod in an already existing world, Mystical Flowers will only generate in unexplored chunks)
- Craft the BotaniaStory Lexicon using parchment and any tree seed to begin learning everything about the mod
- Create the Petal Apothecary
- Create your first functional and generating flowers
- Begin meditating to turn ordinary flowers into Mystical Flowers
- Search around oak trees for rare roots used in magical crafting
🌿 Basic Nature Magic
- Pure Daisy transforms stone into Livingrock, and wood into Livingwood
- Decorative blocks available: Livingrock bricks, ancient bricks, Livingwood planks, and their ancient variant
- Jaded Amaranthus – a functional flower that creates Mystical Flowers
- Hopperhock – catches dropped items and transfers them into chests
- Agricarnation – accelerates the growth of nearby crops by consuming mana
- Wardbloom – creates a protective barrier around itself. Creatures and projectiles cannot pass through it, and hostile creatures cannot spawn inside the protected area. Players can be allowed through using White Filter Scrolls
- Floral Fertilizer – crafted from Mystical Flowers. Can be used to grow new Mystical Flowers and fertilize soil to accelerate crop growth
- Mystical Flower Pollen – obtained by grinding flower petals in the Mortar and Pestle from the Alchemy mod
- Meditation – sit near soil, clear the grass from it and press N to create Mystical Flowers
- Overgrowth Seed – a rare magical seed that prevents flowers from withering
- Overgrowth Seeds can also be discovered inside farming vessels
- Overgrowth Seeds can be used to create enchanted soil and flower beds for magical plants
✨ Mana Generation
- Dayblooms for passive generation
- Endoflame for automation through fuel
- Arcana Rose – consumes your temporal stability in exchange for mana
