Craftable Companion
Allows players to craft a Mechanical Companion, based off the yet to be used vanilla mechhelper.

Description
Looking to expand your entourage of mechanical companions? Your bronze buddy too weak to carry things?
Look no further, this mod adds in a new plank pal that's craftable by players!
Based off an unused entity in the game the Mechanical Companion has 12 storage slots and acts similarly to a Locust. Although they do have large behavioral differences. For starters they do not guard you like Locusts, and being the loyal and more patient follower that they are when set to "Waits" they will not wander from their spot. (Note that unlike locusts, the player has to press <span style="color: #9b59b6;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">Shift + Right Click</span> to toggle the <span style="color: #9b59b6;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">"Follows" / "Waits"</span> state!)
Mechanical Companions have an impressive 50 health points and since they do not get involved in combat they rarely take damage.
Companions can have items <span class="phrase-bubble__suggestion-label ng-tns-c100-1 phrase-bubble__suggestion-label_active phrase-bubble__suggestion-label_only-one ng-star-inserted"><span class="ng-tns-c100-1 ng-star-inserted">attached</span></span> to them similarly to the Elk! They have a total of three points which can mount the following:
- Bowl, Padlock, or Fire starter
- Cooking Pot, Food Crock, Falx, Blackguard Shortsword or a Bow
- Various tools such as a Pickaxe, Saw, Hammer, Knife, ETC
Note: Ctrl + RMB will also toggle the light, you can Ctrl + Shift + RMB to avoid this!
Alongside their storage utility, a Mechanical Companion acts as a <span style="color: #18bc9b;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">light source</span>. Which can be <span style="color: #18bc9b;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">toggled on and off with Ctrl + Right Click</span>.
In the event the companion does die or take damage it can <span style="color: #9b59b6; --darkreader-inline-color: var(--darkreader-text-9b59b6, #a467bc);" data-darkreader-inline-color="">be repaired by prodding it with a tuning spear or any kind of wrench</span> to <span style="color: #8e44ad;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">revive metal parts are needed instead</span>. A broken companion's <span style="color: #000000; --darkreader-inline-color: var(--darkreader-text-000000, #e8e6e3);" data-darkreader-inline-color="">body will de-spawn in <span style="color: #e67e23; --darkreader-inline-color: var(--darkreader-text-e67e23, #e88a37);" data-darkreader-inline-color="">48</span> hours.</span> <span style="color: #e74c3c; --darkreader-inline-color: var(--darkreader-text-e74c3c, #e95849);" data-darkreader-inline-color=""><span style="color: #2fcc71; --darkreader-inline-color: var(--darkreader-text-2fcc71, #47d582);" data-darkreader-inline-color="">While the body exists, the inventory of the companion can still be accessed.</span> However once it despawns all contained items are gone with the body!</span>
<span style="color: #3598db;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">Companions will also appear on the world map the same way tamed creatures such as the Elk or locusts with Repairable Locust installed do! </span>No longer must you accidently leave behind your companion after forgetting to set them to follow you.
Locking Storage: <span style="color: #18bc9b;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">For multiplayer, you can secure the 12 internal storage slots so that only the companion's owner can access them.</span> To toggle locking,<span style="color: #2880b9;" data-darkreader-inline-color=""> simply interact with the companion while holding a Padlock. </span>Be aware: <span style="color: #e74c3c;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">a companion can still be killed to forcibly unlock its internal inventory, allowing any player to access the contents.</span>
<span style="color: #d35400;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">Mechanical Companions can only maintain a bond with one owner at a time. </span>Claiming a new companion will abandon the previous one, causing it to go dormant and release its bond. Abandoned companions may be claimed again by the next player who interacts with them. Note that Locusts do not count towards this, meaning a player can have 1 Locust and 1 Mechanical Companion trailing them with no problems.
You can pickup companions, contents and data intact by interacting with them while having an empty backpack slot selected! Whoever places (incase you give the companion to someone else) will be the new owner. You need to be the owner to grab a companion.
<span style="color: #9b59b6;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">Cutomization!</span> The base visuals of your companion are based on the planks used at the final stage of crafting. There is also a 4th slot on the back that allows you to replace the copper metal finishings of the companion with various other metals by attatching a bit or nugget to change to that material.
