Custom Crop Speed

<p>I created this mod in order to help control the speed at which crops grow in game. Some people don't have that much time to be online and want faster growth and some people want an extra realistic experience with slow growth speeds. Well with this mod you can set your own speed.<br /><br />By default the mod loads with vanilla speeds. In your ModConfig folder look for the 'custom_crop_speeds.json'. In there you will find a list of all the crops. The number next to each crop indicates the number of (in-game) months a crop takes to grow to full maturity. Edit these numbers to fit your needs.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>You do NOT have to restart the game or the server if you update values inside the config file. All you need to do is '/cropreload' and it will load in the new values. The new values only take effect for new crops that you plant. Any crops that you already planted will use the growth speed that was set when it was planted, until it transitions to a new growth stage, at which point it will also use the updated growth speed.<br /><br /><br />Please also take note that there is a built-in cap for how fast crops can grow in game, even if you were to set the value to something like 0.00001. As far as all my testing goes, the shortest amount of time that a crop can grow to full maturity is 1 (in-game) day.<br />These values are also not the only settings in the game that affect crop growth. The /worldconfig cropGrowthRateMul setting also works as a multiplier. The default value for this is 1. So just be aware that if you did set a custom value that it will tie in with the crop speeds in this mod.</p> <p><br />The mod is a universal mod so works for client and server.</p> <p><br />(As an sidenote, you will note the crop name "motherplant" in the config file. This is the growth speed for the pumpkin and the name that VS uses for it, in case you were wondering)<br /><br /><br /></p> <h3>Possible Roadmap for the future:</h3> <ul> <li>Link the soil nutrient consumption to the crop growth (so the shorter the grow time the less nutrients are used)</li> <li>Adjusting the seed tooltip to show the adjusted growth speed.</li> <li>Adding extra control over crop yields.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Let me know if you encounter any problems or have any suggestions, enjoy :)</p>
