Men of craft forged blades so fine they sang when drawn. Knights grew fat on silver and slaughter. Women ruled from the shadows with wit sharper than any sword. And the lords... ha! They held their lands with fists like anvils, their wills unbending as the northern cliffs.</span>

<span style="color: #2880b9;">Wars raged, as they always do &mdash; the king&rsquo;s banners high, the fields red beneath. And every fool who fancied himself brave went to chase glory... or find his bones forgotten in the dirt.</span>

<span style="color: #2880b9;">But in those days &mdash; by the gods &mdash; the forges burned bright. Every smith, every craftsman worth his salt gave his sweat and blood to the fire. The best among them rose beyond mortal measure, devoting their very souls to steel and craft. They were scholars of the hammer, priests of the anvil &mdash; and what they made... oh, it was no mere armor. It was legend.</span>

<span style="color: #2880b9;">Blades that could cleave stone. Helms that turned aside death itself. Works so pure, even the gods might&rsquo;ve envied them.</span>

<span style="color: #2880b9;">All gone. Swallowed by time and ash.</span>
<span style="color: #2880b9;">The old forges stand cold. The scrolls &mdash; what&rsquo;s left of them &mdash; rot in the dust of broken halls, buried beneath ruin and sorrow.</span>

<span style="color: #2880b9;">Yet... a few remain. A handful of sacred designs, scattered like embers across a dying world. Waiting &mdash; waiting for the hands bold enough to seize them, to raise the hammer once more and strike the spark that&rsquo;ll wake the old gods from their sleep.</span>

This series of mods aims to introduce historically inspired armors into the game.
This one is dedicated to the Viking style.

&nbsp;

Armors added by this mod are improved versions of the vanilla items, which serve as the base for crafting these modded armors.
Viking armor makes its bearer more agile and keeps him warm in the winter, you walk with it faster and your stats drain slower while the defensive stats stay unchanged.

&nbsp;

You will need a specific schematic, which can be found in newly generated ruins or may appear at the Treasure Trader once he restocks after you install this mod.
Due to the rarity of these schematics, their price won&rsquo;t exactly be a bargain.

Anyway, this is a simple content mod at heart.
I&rsquo;m aware that the recipes are VERY expensive, and that&rsquo;s intentional &mdash; these armors represent very late-game technology. On the bright side, once crafted, the armor is easy to maintain.

Of course, all feedback is welcome, and the availability of this armor in survival mode can be rebalanced in the future if there&rsquo;s enough pushback.
