<p><span style="font-size: 8pt;">This fork of <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/27250">Variations on a Meal</a> was made with permission from the original author </span><a class="mention username mceNonEditable" href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/user/EEEAE50DF1FB549D9B55" data-user-hash="EEEAE50DF1FB549D9B55">Echoweaver</a><span style="font-size: 8pt;">. It fixes broken language entries from new base game content and includes a ton of new meal options thanks to new content and game code changes in 1.22, as well as some stuff I personally wanted to add.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">"Ever wanted to make chicken and rice? A mushroom pie? What about a redcurrant wine reduction with chanterelle mushrooms? Hey, if you're from my part of the United States, you might even be longing for cheese grits (we'll forget that corn isn't even in the game at this point and pretend any grain will do). I thought we could do with a few more cooking options in vanilla." -Echoweaver</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Original Changes:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Grain is an optional ingredient for meat and vegetable stews.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Egg may be added to vegetable stew. It was already an option for meat stew.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Milk and wine/cider/ale can be used as liquid base for soup with appropriate nutrition.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Milk, cheese, and egg are optional ingredients for porridge.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Mushrooms can be added to pies<span style="text-decoration: line-through;"><span style="background-color: #000000;">, but if you combine different types of mushrooms, it just turns into vegetable pie</span></span><span style="background-color: #000000;">.</span> It's currently <span style="text-decoration: line-through; background-color: #000000;">not</span> possible to make a generic mushroom pie<span style="text-decoration: line-through; background-color: #000000;">, but this may change in the next game update</span>. Damage from poisonous mushrooms does carry over into the pie.</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Revaried Changes:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Pies</span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> Different mushrooms will make different colors of mushroom pie!</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Walnuts can now be put into pies. Mixing them with peanuts produces a mixed nut pie.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Mixing peanuts or walnuts with fruit in a pie produces a fruit and nut pie.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Eggs can be put into pies to produce a quiche. Mixing cheese into a quiche produces a cheese quiche or blue cheese quiche.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Termites and grubs can be put into pies.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bushmeat and all cured meats can be put into pies, (3.1.1) as can vintage beef.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Pickled soybeans and vegetables can be put into pot pies.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(3.0.1) Generic mixed mushroom pies are now possible, and combining mushrooms and vegetables together will make a pot pie instead of a mixed vegetable pie.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(3.1.0) Vegetables can be added to quiches to make a vegetable quiche.</span></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Meals</span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A slot of nuts may now be added to meat and vegetable stew. Anyone want some honey walnut chicken?</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Porridge can now have nuts, fruit juice, and insects as optional ingredients.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Meat stew, vegetable stew, and scrambled eggs can take an optional slot of olive or linseed frying oil.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bushmeat (raw and cured) can be put in all meat slots in meals, (3.1.1) as can vintage beef.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Honey is now optional in jam, and jam can take up to 4 slots of fruit. Up to 2 slots of fruit juice can also be added to jam.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(3.0.4) Soup can now have a slot of grain, (3.0.5) or a slot of dough to make dumplings, (3.2.0) and can have soybeans and peanuts as a vegetable.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(3.0.4) Vegetable stew can now have a slot of honey topping.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(3.1.1) Vegetable stew can have a slot of protein (meat, eggs, or insects).&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(3.1.1) Meat stew can have a slot of insects.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(3.2.0) Scrambled eggs can have a slot of topping.</span></li> <li>(3.2.0) Cottage cheese can be used as a topping for all meals with toppings&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div class="spoiler"> <div class="spoiler-toggle">Future Plans</div> <ul> <li class="spoiler-text" contenteditable="true">In plans for a future game update, it should become possible to make mixed ingredient pies from the same nutrition group with special names and textures instead of them automatically defaulting to the generic mixed name and texture for their nutrition group. When this happens I will be able to add in mixed mushroom pies with specific colors, among other things. For now they will have to make generic mushroom pies.</li> <li class="spoiler-text" contenteditable="true">Quiches with meat are planned for the same update as above.&nbsp;</li> <li class="spoiler-text" contenteditable="true">I would like to add more compatibility for other mods that add new ingredients, but it's a lot of work, so it won't happen immediately.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </div> <div class="spo
