Rust Girls

<p><strong>Rust Girls</strong> is a creature replacement mod that aims to give Vintage Story's creatures a different visual style while preserving the original gameplay experience.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>At the moment, the mod replaces the <strong>Bell, Locusts, Bowtorns </strong>and <strong>Drifter variants</strong> with custom models and textures. Their behavior, stats, and mechanics remain <strong>unchanged</strong>, so the mod should fit naturally into existing worlds and playthroughs. <span style="color: #7e8c8d;">(Still, exercise caution since this is my first mod, I just draw and model stuff.)</span></p> <p>Final Replacement:</p> <ul style="list-style-type: square;"> <li>Shivers</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Depending on how the project develops, monster girls for wolves, bears, foxes, hyenas, and other hostile entities may also be added later on, as well as optional sound replacements for creatures configurable via configlib.</p> <p>Neutral mobs will come at a later moment as another mod!</p> <p><strong>Unique</strong> lore mobs will not be tackled at all for the time being, as I'd like to move on to other projects!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h4><strong>Compatibility:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Any mod that replaces the same creature models will likely be incompatible and load-order dependent.</li> <li><strong>Cats </strong>has an animation issue which causes a crash related to the bowtorn worship animation. If you wish to run that mod, the author mentions <a href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/cats#cmt-70195">how to patch out that behavior</a>.</li> <li><strong>Darce's Drifters</strong> takes priority over this replacing the drifters. But you can still get the other mobs!</li> <li><strong>Combat Overhaul</strong> currently breaks the bell's "Alarm" animation and possibly others as well. (I'm looking into patching it if possible... I like girls, monsters, and creature design!</p> <p><strong>Do you use AI?</strong></p> <p><strong>No.</strong> Character design for the drifter belongs to Maelbek. I doodled the logo myself. The rest of the mobs are made by myself!</p> <p><strong>Client-side?</strong></p> <p>Doable, for a future release this specific page will be deprecated and the Rust Girls mod will be split into each mob group.
