<p><strong>Can't memorize all the ore and mineral names?</strong></p> <p>This mod helps&nbsp;clarify the types of ores, minerals, and gems in their names and tooltips.</p> <p>Supports ores and minerals added by <a title="Geology Additions" href="https://mods.vintagestory.at/geologyaddons" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong><span style="color: #8e44ad;">Geology Additions</span></strong></a>!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img src="https://images2.imgbox.com/ef/a3/zDQv4X3l_o.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="1000" /></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The way this mod changes the names works as follows:</strong></p> <p><em>(<span style="color: #27ae60;">green text is vanilla</span>, <span style="color: #8e44ad;">purple text is from Geology Additions</span>, <span style="color: #2880b9;">blue text is this mod<span style="color: #000000;">)</span></span></em></p> <p><strong>- Ores that can be smelt into metals</strong></p> <p>Ore blocks such as copper and smithsonite (zinc ore added by GA) will be called "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Copper ore (malachite)</span>" and "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Zinc ore (smithsonite)</span>" instead of "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Copper ore</span>" and "<span style="color: #8e44ad;">Smithsonite ore</span>".</p> <p>Nuggets will be called "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Iron ore (magnetite) nugget</span>",&nbsp;"<span style="color: #2880b9;">Copper ore (azurite) nugget</span>" etc. instead of "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Nugget (magnetite)</span>", "<span style="color: #8e44ad;">Nugget (azurite)</span>" etc.</p> <p><strong>- Minerals <em>with</em>&nbsp;uses in crafting</strong></p> <p>The names of these common minerals are not changed: flint, quartz, and sulfur.</p> <p>Less common ones will have "<span style="color: #2880b9;">(mineral)</span>" in the names of either the block form or the mined items, such as "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Alum (mineral) in sandstone</span>" (block), "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Olivine (mineral)</span>" (item), etc.</p> <p><strong>- Minerals <em>with</em>out uses in crafting</strong></p> <p>Currently there are some minerals that exist in the game but have no uses: corundum, fluorite, graphite, kernite, phosphorite, and uranium ore.</p> <p>To help identify these useless minerals their names will not have the "<span style="color: #2880b9;">(mineral)</span>" suffix!</p> <p><strong>- Consistent naming of the three types of coal</strong></p> <p><span style="color: #2880b9;">Anthracite coal</span>, <span style="color: #2880b9;">Bituminous coal <span style="color: #000000;">(sometimes called "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Black coal</span>" in vanilla)</span></span>, and <span style="color: #2880b9;">Lignite coal<span style="color: #000000;"> (sometimes called "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Brown coal</span>" in vanilla).</span></span></p> <p><strong>- Gems</strong></p> <p>All gems will have "<span style="color: #2880b9;">(gem)</span>" in the names of either the block form or the mined items, such as "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Emerald (medium grade gem) in basalt</span>" (block), "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Rough diamond (gem)</span>" (item), etc.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>These changes are also reflected in the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">prospecting filter</span> in the map, so instead of a list of random names you get a bit more detail.</strong></p>
