Compressed Coal (burns x10 longer than Coal)

BENEFITS

The capacity of crafting tables and trucks to store fuel is limited. Players have to keep track of it to avoid interruptions in production. This can be especially tedious when there are many tables, each requires attention. And it may require travelling a long distance just to refuel a table.

COMPRESSED COAL PUTS YOUR MIND AT EASE, JUST SET AND FORGET.

• IT BURNS 10 TIMES LONGER THAN RAW COAL OR CHARCOAL.
• LONG-TERM: max amount of Charcoal in 2 slots is 200 (100+100 stacks), max amount of Compressed Coal is 40 (20 + 20), which is equivalent to 400 Charcoal.
• LESS RESOURCES: while crafting 10 Charcoal requires 35 Wood, an equivalent block of Compressed Coal consumes 10 Coal.
• FASTER PRODUCTION: Compressing Coal takes 6 seconds, unlike 30 seconds to produce Charcoal.

IDEAL FOR SETTING UP LONG-TERM AUTO-PRODUCTION TABLES AND LIGHTING.

Additionally, consider how the demand for Compressed Coal can contribute to the server's economy, e.g.:

• More trading: more Coal sold to produce and sell Compressed Coal
• Increases the demand for transportation due to high weight, which in turn increases the demand for roads
• May stimulate combining Mechanics and Mining specialties
• Could result in higher demand for Brazier items (1 Compressed Coal can burn for 2d 7h at 1W consumption)

INTERACTION

Compressed Coal can be picked up without any tools and can be placed on the ground in 3 stacks.

CHARACTERISTICS

• A block of Compressed Coal produces 200,000J while raw Coal 20,000J.
• A block of Compressed Coal weighs 30kg while raw Coal 4kg. Compacting gets rid of some impurities, so Compressed Coal is a little lighter than 10 blocks of raw Coal. Players will require transportation to move such heavy items (with vanilla configurations at least).
• Stacks of 20 blocks.

CRAFTING

Compressed Coal is crafted in a Screw Press and the recipe requires:

• 10 blocks of Coal
• 10 Mechanics Level 1 labor
