Bulk Molds

ABy AmethystZhou

Adds molds for casting ingots, chute sections, rods, arrowheads, and nails in bulk

Description

Adds 5 new molds to allow bulk casting of ingots, chute sections, rods, arrowheads, and nails!

This mod aims to make bulk crafting of these items easier, while balacing the crafting ratio based on the actual voxel shape of the corresponding smithing recipe.

Ingots mold: allows casting 4 ingots at the same time, takes 400 units of molten metal (of course)

Chute sections mold: 3 copper ingots = 4 copper chute sections (only copper can be used, 33% more efficient than vanilla smithing)

Rods mold: 4 ingots = 4 rods (same as vanilla smithing)

Arrowheads mold: 2 ingots = 24 arrowheads (33% more efficient than vanilla smithing)

Nails mold: 2 ingots = 12 nails (50% more efficient than vanilla smithing)

- Supports all vanilla clay color variants.

- The arrowheads and nails molds can be stored in the vanilla vertical rack, but the other three cannot because they are thicker.

- Molds with molten metal will have a chance to crack if exposed to rain or watering can!

Detailed balancing breakdown:

The above values are configured based on the voxel count of the vanilla smithing recipe.

Each ingot is 7×3×2 = 42 voxels, and:

Chute section has 32 voxels, 1 ingot = 1.3125 units

Rod has 40 voxels, 1 ingot = 1.05 units

Arrowhead has 3 voxels, 1 ingot = 14 units

Nails has either 9 or 6.75 voxels depending on the recipe (smithing 4 or 8 at a time), 1 ingot = 4.667 or 6.222 units

If you have Smithing Plus installed, the mod's bits recovery feature effectively makes the smithing costs based on the actual voxel count as well.
