Immersive Woodworking
Focused immersion mod that makes processing timber feel like work, not paperwork.

Description
Immersive Woodworking replaces instant, crafting-menu woodworking with hands-on, in-world stations. Logs no longer turn into firewood or planks by dropping them next to a tool. Instead you set the wood on a real workstation and work it with the tool, swing by swing and stroke by stroke.
By default it's tuned to match vanilla balance - reducing log consumption and keeping progression intact - but most parameters can be adjusted in the config.
The goal isn't to punish you, just to change how crafting works. Well, maybe just a little, since the last update made the chopping process more tedious. To compensate for that, you can manually increase the drop amount or the chopping animation speed via the config.
YOU NEED TO BACK UP YOUR SAVES BEFORE UPDATING
(because a huge amount of work has been done and I'm not sure nothing will break. In the test world everything was fine).
Please check the config section at the bottom - literally every single thing in the mod is configurable, almost 70 config options, so everyone can set it all up however they find fun to play. By default I tuned the values to what I personally find fun.
The Chopping Block
A sturdy stump for splitting firewood with an axe. It comes in every wood type — and now takes logs from other mods too. Crafted by combining an axe with a placed log in the grid.
The Sawhorses
A two-piece rig for ripping logs lengthwise into planks and beams — the hands-on replacement for sawing planks in the crafting grid. Each trestle is built right in the world from 2 sticks and a rope; set up two side by side to form the rig.
The Pit Saw
A two-handed rip saw, and the dedicated tool for the sawhorses. Crafted from pitsaw blade.
Debarking
Strip bark off logs right at the sawhorse. Stand by the long side of a laid log and hold right-click to turn it into a debarked log. Three tools, slow to fast: a knife, an axe + hammer (main hand and offhand), or the new Bark Spud, a dedicated tool you can craft from any metal.
The Sawmill
A multiblock that cuts logs into planks and debarked logs into beams on its own. Built up in several stages, then left to do the work for you.
The Chopper
An multiblock that turns logs into firewood and firewood into sticks on its own. Built up in several stages, then left to do the work for you.
Snapping driftwood in your hands
Lets you break driftwood while it's in your hands instead of chopping it on the chopping block. I totally forgot to record this for the trailer, but who cares lol
Hand-crafted animations, for chopping, sawing and debarking, and breaking driftwood. And TWO super over-engineered procedural animation that took a ton of work.
