Wild Farming Fork
Cultivate flowers, herbs, mushrooms, trees, and shrubs. And much more.
Description

Wild Farming Fork
Wild Farming Fork is a maintained fork and 1.22.3 port of Wild Farming - Revival, itself a revival of JakeCool19's original Wild Farming mod.野农 - 复兴 - 复古故事模组数据库
This fork keeps the core idea of Wild Farming: making the natural world more farmable, renewable, and alive. It lets players cultivate wild plants, flowers, berry bushes, mushrooms, vines, reeds, seaweed, and living trees, while preserving the experimental wild ecosystem feel of the original mod.
This is a standalone fork. Do not install it together with Wild Farming - Revival or the original Wild Farming mod.
Main Features
Seed Extraction and Plant Reproduction
Wild Farming Fork expands how plants can be propagated.
- Extract seeds from grains using a wooden pan.
- Extract seeds from vegetables and legumes using shears.
- Extract seeds from flowers, ferns, cacti, berries, pineapple, and other wild plants using a knife.
- Grow and split cattail, papyrus, and water sedge roots or tubers using barrel propagation recipes.
- Place seaweed trimmings in deep water and let them grow upward.
- Optionally grow vines from vine tips.
- Pan muddy gravel for seeds and shells.
- Score pine and acacia logs with a knife to produce resin.
- Optionally allow planted trees to grow resin as well.
Wild seeds do not require farmland or water, but they are temperature-sensitive. Greenhouses can help them grow in harsher climates.
Mushroom Farming
Mushroom farming uses mushroom substrate. Right-click mushroom substrate with the mushroom you want to cultivate.
Ground mushrooms will spread near the substrate on suitable dirt. Side-growing mushrooms need compatible logs placed above the substrate; the mushrooms will grow on the sides of those logs if the wood type matches their preference.
Living Tree System
Wild Farming Fork keeps the living tree system from Wild Farming - Revival.
Trees can have:
- Temperature requirements
- Growth stages
- Leaf regeneration
- Tree health
- Wood damage
- Local plant propagation
- Sapling propagation
- Termite interactions
Tree health is based on both leaves and wood. Breaking or blocking leaves reduces leaf health. Damaging logs can kill the tree. Fully grown, healthy trees may spread nearby plants or saplings, but may also attract harmful organisms such as termites.
Dynamic tree growth and vine growth are experimental and may be disabled by default. Enable them only if you want the full living-forest experience.
